New York State Senate Leader Andrea Alice Stewart-Cousins, NYS Senator Luis Sepulveda and others elected officials welcomed and rendered Sgt. Gonell with a Proclamation for his service as a member of the U.S. Army and as a police officer with Capitol Police. It’s first time the NYS Senate and the Dominican Republic rendered such proclamation for the same event and to the same person at the same time. Sgt. Gonell lived in NY for 15 years and was born in the Dominican Republic.
