The January 6, 2021’s Capitol attack left the lives of many officers chattered. The physical and emotional tole cannot be understated. Officers’ careers were cut short and their health greatly impacted. Sgt. Gonell could no longer perform his police duties due to the his injuries and had to separate from the job he loved.
